Question

Callers not hearing me

Multiple times I am on the phone with a friend whilst I cna hear them they are unable to hear me - I have done everything  I can to fix the problem, like restarting etc and whatever was advised on the website but nothing is working, this affects both myself and my husband as we both use ID.

Anything else I can do to get this recitified - I use my mobile for work so this is really not acceptable

Thanks

    Hi @tburty29.

Thank you for your post. I’m sorry you and your husband are having this problem with your calls.

Could you let us know if this happens in a specific location, such as at home or at work, or if it happens wherever you are?

    Thanks,

    Marquerita

    Hi

It can happen anywhere, home, in car, town, literally anywhere.

Never used to have an issue but for me the last 6 months have got worse, persuaded my husband to switch to ID and he is now regretting it.

FYI both phones are Goggle Pixel

    Thankyou

    Hi @tburty29,

Thank you for getting back in touch.

I'm really sorry to hear this has been happening, especially as it's affecting both your phone and your husband's across multiple locations. If the issue is occurring at home, in the car, in town and in different areas, it would be worth checking a few things:

    • Make sure both phones are running the latest software update available.
    • Check that 4G Calling/VoLTE is enabled in the phone settings.
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Preferred Network Type and ensure it's set to 4G/5G Auto.
    • Reset the network settings on both devices (this won't remove personal data, but you may need to reconnect to Wi-Fi afterwards).
    • Try manually selecting a network, then switch back to automatic network selection.
    • If either SIM is several years old, it may be worth trying a replacement SIM.

As both phones are experiencing the same issue and you've noticed it worsening over the last six months, it may be best for our Technical Team to investigate further. If you've already tried the above steps, please contact our Live Chat team so they can run some checks and raise a technical ticket if needed.

Again, I'm sorry for the frustration this is causing, especially after recommending us to your husband. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.

    Regards,

Thankyou I will give this a try.

I have noticed that the bars on the phone are only ever 1 or 2 so is this an issue with your signal - same with my husbands

    HI

I have tried that but it makes no difference at all.

I am sure its to due with reception, I can literally sit and watch the bars on my phone change from 3 down to 1 or 2 or move up from 1 -3.

I have been monitoring my phone when I am out and the most bars I get is 3, but mainly it is one or 2 so it doesn’t really matter where I am either at home or away from home - same with my husbands.

\My phone offers either 4G or 5G, I have changed from one setting to the other and it makes no difference what so ever

    Thanks
