Cannot make calls since old number ported

I was nervous about moving to ID mobile from O2 but since joining ID mobile I had been quite impressed. However, the problems started when my existing number was ported across. I cannot make calls using my existing number at all. Phone will only let me make calls using the new number/line issued to me by ID mobile. However I can receive calls from people calling me on my old existing number. Why is this and should I be concerned? Worried about network coverage issues and whether I need to cancel contract before cooling off period ends. Please help!!!

I'm really sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your mobile number. Please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

 

For Android:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap General Management
  • Tap Reset
  • Select Reset network settings

 

For iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Phone
  3. Tap My Number
  4. Delete the old number
  5. Enter the new number
  6. Tap Save

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Messages
  3. Turn iMessage OFF
  4. Go to Settings > General
  5. Tap Reset
  6. Choose Reset Network Settings
  7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
  8. Tap Messages
  9. Turn iMessage ON again

Your iPhone should now recognise the new SIM and verify your number.

U have tried to reset network,put a password, but the reset button does not respond
