Coverage is poor. Port number but leave contract as is.

Hi all,

I’m currently in contract with iD Mobile, but the signal at my house is so poor that I can’t even make or receive a call when I step outside.

I’d like to know if it’s possible to port my number away to another provider (so I can actually use my phone), but still keep paying for my iD contract until it ends. Has anyone done this before, or is it something iD supports?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey there @richhickson, if you were to port your number elsewhere, your contract with us would instantly end on the switching date to your new network I’m afraid.

You cannot port out and keep your current contract, sorry about that.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hey there @richhickson, to cancel your contract early, and not pay the termination fee, we’d need to take out a thorough investigation into your issues, and raise with our technical team, and troubleshoot with you etc, to see if we can resolve it first. We can’t simply offer an eearly release I’m afraid.

What’s the full postcode(s) you’re having issues in and what phone do you have?

Thanks,

Tyler
