Data went super quick all of a sudden

Hi everyone... Have 10gb data (will definitely change next month). Checked last night had 4.5gb remaining, I've been keeping a track on it. Then it's gone this morning! Where's it gone? I use WiFi mostly? Is the data tracking not accurate? Or a delay in updating?

It's a mystery to me

    Hi @Smokin Steve,

Sorry to hear about the confusion with your data usage.

Mobile data can sometimes be used even when you're connected to Wi-Fi. Certain apps and services may continue to use mobile data in the background for things like syncing, updates, backups, location services, or if the Wi-Fi connection becomes weak or temporarily drops.

To see what's using your data, you can check your phone's settings:

    iPhone

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular).
    3. Scroll down to see a list of apps and how much mobile data each has used.
    4. If you'd like to stop an app from using mobile data, toggle it off next to the app's name.

    Android

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap Network & Internet (or Connections on some devices).
    3. Select Data Usage or Mobile Data Usage.
    4. You'll be able to see which apps have used the most mobile data.
    5. Tap an app and disable Background Data or restrict mobile data access if required.

It's also worth bearing in mind that usage information may not always update instantly, so there can occasionally be a delay before data usage is fully reflected.

Hopefully checking your device's data usage breakdown will help identify where the data has gone.

    Regards,
