divert when unanswered will not allow me to specify the wait peiod

I have exactly the same issue.

If I use *61* ie divert when unanswered
and set the phone number for the unanswered call to go to , to 123 (ie idmobile voicemail)
it allows me to set the time the caller has to wait till the call is diverted
The syntax is *61*123**10# for a divert to 123 after 10 seconds
checking with*#61* the phone informs me
---“iD Mobile message
---Call forwarding
---Voice: 123 after 10 seconds”

***so, it accepts the 10 second wait, before trying to transfer the caller to 123

***PROBLEM is when idmobile tried to forward the call to 123,
the caller gets “Sorry your call cannot be connected”
ie 123 isn’t being linked to idmobile voicemail

A workaround is
to replace “123” with the long telephone number for idmobile voicemail service ie +44778233123
So the syntax is *61*+447782333123#
This will divert the caller to voicemail ----> but after 30 seconds <----

asking it to divert earlier has no effect
ie *61*+447782333123**10#
-→ will NOT divert after 10 seconds <---

Any ideas?
Thanks
Liam

Yeah, you can’t do what you’re asking. Voicemail configurations are limited and flaky at best.

I used to be able to do exactly that, welsh paul

I could pick the delay before calls went to answer machine.

I chose 15 seconds,
and It would divert to answer after 15 seconds.

Maybe the problem is “123”  has lost it’s attachment to “+44778233123” on my sim

As my original post above, it DOES accept the time delay. !

-→
***so, it accepts the 10 second wait, before trying to transfer the caller to 123
<---

eg
*61*123**15# will wait 15 seconds before the “cannot connect” message
*61*123**5# will wait 5 seconds before the “cannot connect” message

It only reverts to an unchangeable and a system 30 seconds wait
when the full +447782333211 is entered via *61* rather than the 123 via *61*

eg
*61*+447782333123**15# will ignore the 15 seconds specified and divert after 30 seconds
*61*+447782333123**5# will ignore the 5 seconds specified and divert after 30 seconds

Anyone from idmoibile ...
Is there a way that idmobile can link 123 back to +447782333123 at their end
-→ as it used to work , and the time COULD be set any figure from 5 seconds to 30 seconds , in increments of 5 seconds

I’ll repeat . It used to work, when using 123 eg *61*123**15# , it would set delay to 15 seconds

Cheers
Liam

A few years ago I read on the Three community forum that they’d made some changes to voicemail. As a result, many short codes either don’t work at all or only work for some people.

Thank welshpaul

what I am trying, at, ( but I don’t have a spare phone)
is...
turn off call waiting
#43#
then set the *61* to divert back to my mobile number ,
in the hope that it will trigger the *67* busy and divert to answering machine.

ie *61*(my mobile)**10#

with a status check of *#61* it shows that my mobile will call itself, after 10 seconds if unanswered
(ps ALL other mobile numbers EXCEPT  07782333123 will accept the time to be set)

I’ll probably find out tomorrow when I ask someone to ring me.
All the best
Liam
