eSIM unable to activate

New eSIM saying 'Unable to Activate' on iPhone 12 Mini, device is not locked to a network, is on iOS18 and I've tried all the other usual stuff e.g. aeroplane mode, turning off etc. Even request an new eSIM to try it on my Google Pixel 8a which already has a working ID Mobile eSIM and still had the exact same issue - any ideas?

Hi @Dizzy79 ,

I understand how frustrating it is, especially after trying multiple devices.

As the issue is happening on both your iPhone 12 Mini and your Google Pixel 8a, this strongly suggests the problem isn’t the device, but rather the eSIM provisioning on the network side.

Here are a few things to check and try first:

1.Make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi when activating the eSIM (this is essential for activation).
2.Double-check your device is not restricted or blocked and that it supports eSIM fully (both of yours do).
3.Confirm the eSIM QR code hasn’t already been used or expired (sometimes it becomes invalid after a short time).
4.Restart the phone again and try activating from
Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM (iPhone)
or Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs (Android).

If it still shows “Unable to Activate”, the most likely cause is:

-The eSIM hasn’t been correctly added to your account

-There is a provisioning error

-Or the eSIM needs to be regenerated on our system
