I have several iot devices connected to a Huawei CPE pro router with Id mobile unlimited SIM. Suddenly 1 week ago they all went offline?

I removed id mobile SIM and out in a Three SIM and they all come back online. Otherwise internet is fine.

What have you done that is interrupting my iot devices communication link with their cloud services?

I am considering changing network now. Perhaps try Smarty of EE which provides better speeds but is a little more expensive.

Hi @AMK

Thank you for your message.

Could you please provide the postcode for the location where the router is being used? This will allow us to check the network coverage in that area.

Post code is KT15 2RX and same is happening at my parents TW20 8SR.

All my devices offline.

When I switch over to a Three SIM they come online and work. Something to do with ID mobile.

Hello Michael Z

Any news?

If I don't hear, then I will just change network.

Sad to leave Id who I have been with for nearly 5 years.

Hi @AMK,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

As the iD Mobile SIM is being used in a router with IoT devices, it's worth noting that our SIMs aren't guaranteed to be compatible with all routers or IoT equipment, so this may be contributing to the issue you're seeing.

We've also checked the coverage for KT15 2RX and TW20 8SR, and there are currently no reported network issues affecting those areas.

As a next step, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Service team via Live Chat. They can investigate further and, if appropriate, arrange a replacement SIM to see whether this resolves the issue.

You can contact them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope this helps get things working again.

Regards,

Gemma M
