When I make a phone call the mobile data reception disappears. I then have to end the call and turn off and on primary data. Once I have done that the call works. Please can you help me as it wastes a lot of time sequentially.

thank you

    Hi @Cruciform,

From what you've described, it sounds like you're using two SIMs, with one SIM handling calls and the other handling mobile data.

On many dual-SIM devices, when a call is in progress on one SIM, the other SIM can temporarily lose access to network services, including mobile data. This can result in the data connection dropping while you're on a call.

If you'd like to use mobile data while making calls, the SIM being used for the call would also need to have access to mobile data, and your device would need to support this functionality.

We'd recommend checking your phone's dual-SIM settings to see whether there's an option such as:

    • Allow mobile data switching
    • Use mobile data during calls
    • Dual SIM always-on (wording varies by manufacturer)

If you're unsure which setting is available on your device, let us know the make and model of the phone and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

    Regards,
