Mobile data issues

I’ve been unable to use mobile data for around a month now. Occasionally if I go on to airplane mode for a few seconds I can use data for about 5 minutes and then it stops again. It says I have 4G at the top of my phone but it doesn’t work. Any advice would be really appreciated!
