Mobile Data Not Working

The past few weeks my mobile data hasn’t been working, despite displaying 5G and full service. If I reset my network settings it works for a short period afterwards then drops off again. Network coverage in the areas this is happening reports no issues. 

 

I have an iPhone 16 pro that’s on the most recent ISO update as of a couple of days ago - so this issue was happening both before and after the update. 
 

I tried to log this earlier but could not open the app as no signal, couldn’t google coverage as no signal, just had to tether to my work mobile to load my bus ticket etc. I can basically only use messaging platforms away from home. This has occurred in Bradford, Leeds, Wellingborough, Manchester & Salford within the past couple of weeks.

I am sorry to hear of the trouble you have had with your coverage.

Can you please check your coverage here to see if there are any current outages in your area - https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

Some materials and structures can also affect signal strength.

Can you try switching to 4G and rebooting to see if that helps? Do you have Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE enabled?

i’ve had this problem since i joined in may, still doesn’t work to this day it came and went but for the past 3 days ive had nothing tried all the steps on the  support chat and nothings working

I have checked coverage and there are no issues; however, this is happening wherever I travel to within the last few weeks. This is also happening in the same locations and routes I have always taken so can’t be a structure issue. 

 

I have tried switching to 4g and this hasn’t made a difference. Unable to find a setting for VoLTE? I have a screen recording of 4G/full signal failing to open a Facebook notification and also being unable to submit a response to this. Neither of these are tasks I expect need huge amounts of data.

Hi there ​@BeckiC, sorry to hear that. If you’re having the issue everywhere you go, this would point more towards a SIM or device issue opposed to a coverage issue, as we wouldn’t expect poor coverage everywhere you go.

 

Have you tried resetting network settings?
