mobile data off

my mobile services is showing “off” and greyed out. I can’t change it to “on“

Thanks for getting in touch.

 

If your mobile services/mobile data setting is showing as off and greyed out, please try the following steps:

 

For iPhone:

  • Restart your device
  • Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions
  • Tap Cellular Data Changes
  • Ensure this is set to Allow
  • Check Settings > Mobile Service to see if the option is available again
  • If not, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  • Restart the phone

For Android:

  • Restart your device
  • Go to Settings > Connections > Data Usage
  • Check whether Mobile Data has been disabled by a restriction or battery-saving feature
  • Turn off any Power Saving Mode or Data Saver settings
  • Go to Settings > General Management / System > Reset
  • Select Reset Network Settings
  • Restart the device

For both devices:

  • Remove and reinsert the SIM (if applicable)
  • Check whether the SIM works in another handset
  • Ensure Airplane Mode is turned off
