Mobile data suddenly intermittent as of 12th August (Oxfordshire area)

As of yesterday afternoon (12th August 2026) my mobile data has become unreliable, cutting in and out constantly. I pay monthly (by direct debit) for unlimited data so there are no arrears. There are no issues when I’m connected to WiFi.

When I go onto the network status checker, it says “We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible. We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here.”

What I would like to know is, WHEN the issue is likely to be fixed? It’s over 24 hours later. I am out and about a lot at the moment and rely on having mobile data available (hence paying over the odds for an unlimited amount).

What is further confusing is that my husband also has his phone on ID mobile, but is not experiencing the same issues with mobile data that I am. Why would this be when we have the same postcode?!

Hi @Michelllle

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your mobile data, especially when you rely on it regularly while out and about.

If the Network Status Checker is reporting an active issue in your area, we're unable to provide a specific repair timescale. While many faults are resolved quickly, some can take longer depending on the nature of the work required. We appreciate that it's frustrating, particularly as the issue has already been ongoing for more than 24 hours.

Please send us a private message via our socials (Facebook or Instagram) so that we can have a look on our end as well.

Thank you,
