My phone switches to wifi automatically but then will not switch back to mobile data when i go outside

Phone connects to WiFi fine but will not then switch to mobile data automatically i have to toggle or switch phone off

    Hi ​@Jenney838 ,

     

    I understand how frustrating it can be when your phone connects to Wi-Fi but doesn’t switch to mobile data automatically.

    This usually happens due to either phone settings or a network configuration issue. Here are a few things you can try:

    -Check mobile data is on: Go to Settings → Mobile Data and make sure it’s enabled.

    -Disable Wi-Fi Assist / Smart Network Switch: Some phones stay on Wi-Fi even when the signal is weak. Turning this on can help the phone switch automatically.

    -Restart your phone after toggling airplane mode on and off.

    -Check APN settings: Make sure your mobile network settings match the ones recommended for iD Mobile.
     

    If none of these steps work, sometimes a new SIM card can resolve connectivity issues.
