never receiving sms messages including codes

How is anyone contacting Id mobile, I’m not receiving any sms messages. For example, can’t log on to accounts as I never receive the code, missing GP links. I can’t find a human to speak to and the AI robot isn’t answering my questions?!

Have you asked the 24/7 iD chatbot if you can “talk to a person”, ​@LaurenQuickfall?

Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble reaching us and not receiving text messages.

Please try the following steps to see if they help:

For Apple devices:

Go to Settings > Phone > My Number.

Enter your correct phone number, making sure to use “+44” instead of the initial “0”.

Next, go back to Settings > Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on.

Tap Send & Receive and check that your correct phone number is selected.

For Android devices:

Go to Settings > About Phone or About Device > Status > My Phone Number.

Some Android phones may show this information under SIM or SIM card status within Status.

If you’re using the Messages app, open it, tap More > Settings > Advanced > Phone number, and edit it to the correct number linked to your SIM card. Tap OK.

If issues persist, try removing the SIM card, rebooting the phone, and then reinserting the SIM card. Check if the phone number updates correctly in Phone Settings.

If the problem continues, try inserting the SIM card into a different device and see if sending texts shows a temporary number or your ported number.

My number wasn’t selected in the send and receive part of iMessages, only emails. I’ve tried to tick it but it’s just got the spinning icon now and not loading to a tick icon

Can you try to do a mobile network reset and check if the number is selected and able to receive texts.

 

You can try via the steps below.

 

1.Press Settings.
2. Press General.
3. Press Transfer or Reset iPhone.
4. Press Reset.
5. Press Reset Network Settings.
6. Press Reset Network Settings.
7. Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
8. Restart phone

 

You will not lose any of your personal information when attempting the above.

Thank you, I have tried the above now also. 
 

I’m still not received any codes via sms. Also selecting the mobile number now under send & receive states “activation unsuccessful”

I did note a few people said they needed a new SIM card, could this be the case?

Hi ​@LaurenQuickfall, I am sorry to hear that you are still not able to use text messages. In this case a replacement sim might work as you have tried all the settings. I am able to send you a replacement sim card which will arrive within 2-3 working days. Alternatively, you are able to get a free replacement sim card at any Curry's store. We also have an option for an e-SIM card. Please confirm which option you prefer?

Thank you, I’m going to a shopping centre today so I’ll pop into curry’s and see if they’re able to do it.

 

If not, I’ll message again later and I may try an e-sim if that’s okay?
