no mobile data in China

Hi, I am currently in China and don’t have any option to turn on mobile data. What can I do? I bought an eSIM before departure but this doesn’t work either. Mobile data appears to have been blocked, there isn’t even a toggle for me to access any longer. Thanks, ina
