Myself my husband and both my daughters have had no service at all today in KY12 area. All using different handsets make and model but living/working in and around same area. No outage is reported online. Any ideas?

Hi, just had confirmation from ID that there is an “availability alert” in some areas, asking for 24hrs at least to effect repairs… so At least admitting there’s a fault 🍻

Hi @ClrWilson

Thank you for getting in touch with us, I am so sorry to hear that you’re experiencing bad reception in your area and that this has been affecting your service.

You can also check the coverage in your area using the following link:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

Additionally, you may want to try the following steps:

For iPhone (iOS) – Reset Network Settings:
Go to Settings → General.
Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Confirm the reset when prompted.
Once complete, return to the home screen and restart your iPhone.

For Samsung – Reset Network Settings:
From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps → Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators.
Turn Select Automatically on or off.
Alternatively:
Go to Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Confirm by tapping Reset Settings.

Thank you,

Thank you I have carried out both of these steps now and neither of them have made a difference. The coverage link says that coverage is good in my area but that is not the case. It is clearly a local issue as when I drove to neighbouring postcode KY11 earlier today service resumed straight away. My husband is currently working 3 hours from home with service but before he left our local area no service. My daughter is working about 3 miles from home still in KY12 with no service.

Hi @ClrWilson,

This does sound like a network outage, please confirm if you are still experiencing this or if you still require further assistance on this?

Thanks,
Hosai

Yes the network is back, I would have been much happier if the problem had been identified before I spent 5hrs with your agents checking my phone, downloading x3 new eSIMs and a trip to curry’s for a new SIM card
