Hi, I downloaded an esim into my pixel 6 pro (Android 17). Outdoors, the signal is fine, but in my work office which is listed on the ninth floor (Postcode = EC3M 4BY) I'm not getting an signal unless I stand next to a window?

    Hi @A17AYM,

We're sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your coverage.

We appreciate how frustrating it can be when the service you're receiving doesn't match what you'd expect, particularly if the coverage checker is showing strong coverage in the areas where you're having problems.

It's worth noting that even in areas with excellent outdoor coverage, signal can sometimes be affected by the materials used in the construction of a building, particularly in large office blocks. Metal structures, energy-efficient glass, reinforced concrete and the building's internal layout can all reduce indoor signal strength, which may explain why you're only getting a signal when standing near a window.

As a first step, we'd recommend checking the coverage checker again to see if there are any reported issues or maintenance affecting the location: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/coverage

    You could also try:

    • Ensuring Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on your Pixel 6 Pro.
    • Restarting the device.
    • Resetting your network settings.
    • Testing whether the issue affects calls, texts and data, or just one of these services.

If the issue persists, please contact our Live Chat team so they can investigate further and check whether there are any network-related issues affecting your service: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

They'll be able to review your account and discuss any available options based on the outcome of their investigation.

    Regards,
