No signal in NN11 postcode

There has been no signal on idmobile in NN11 postcode all day.
The service has been poor all through my contract idmobile. I have presented many screen shots via speed test.

According to some doggy database where idmobile thinks that they have good coverage in my region in and out of house.

Today takes the cake, there is no signal. and shoddy business model where you can talk to any one where the system is down.

That is why I have another SIM card to pay for due to shoddy idmobile.

What is the point of have massive data bundle with us when you can’t use any.

I also go to London quite a lot, and the service is poor there too. No signal and no data.

    Hi @annoyed_webby

Thank you for getting in touch, and I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your service.

In the meantime, you can check the coverage in your area using the link below:
    https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

You may also find it helpful to try the following steps:

    Reinsert your SIM card
Try your SIM in another phone
This will help determine whether the issue is related to your handset or the SIM card.

For iPhone (iOS) – Reset Network Settings:
    Go to Settings → General.
Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
    Confirm the reset when prompted.
Once complete, return to the home screen and restart your iPhone.

For Samsung – Reset Network Settings:
From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps → Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators.
Turn Select Automatically on or off.
    Alternatively:
Go to Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
    Confirm by tapping Reset Settings.

    Thank you,

    Thank you,

    @Zandile M

Over the last year, I have done all of this more than once. I have complained about service and network and gone to official compliant as well.

The coverage information needs to be investigated by Ofcom for the truth of it. I do not get ID mobile coverage inside and out of the house whilst the coverage says 4G is available. I do not get signal till the time I enable Wifi calls and connect to internet and that is true not only for my home but the whole town.

Whilst in London, it says 5G where I often go, Haha! there is no signal there too.

Maybe trading standards should also involved to check the information being provided. What do you suggest.

I have made a complaint this week with no response after spending over an hour to get it documented. I expect no response from this poorly run company as previous complaints have also come to nothing. No answers after providing information again and again.

Hope this helps future / prospective ID mobile customers

    Hi @annoyed_webby.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m truly sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you’ve had with our service and coverage over the last year.

I completely understand how disappointing it must be to see 4G/5G indicated on the coverage map but experience little to no signal at home, around your town, and even in parts of London, especially when you’ve already raised this multiple times and feel your complaints haven’t led to any real change.

I also appreciate how time‑consuming and frustrating it is to spend over an hour documenting a complaint and then receive no follow‑up. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and I’m sorry you’ve been left feeling unheard.

We do take coverage and complaint handling seriously, and I’d like to make sure your latest complaint is escalated properly and reviewed by someone who can look into both the network performance in your area and the response you’ve received so far.

If you’re willing, please contact us via live chat here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat and reference your recent complaint. They can:

    • Reopen and escalate your case,
    • Arrange a proper investigation into the coverage you’re experiencing
    • Ensure you get a clear, timely response this time.

I’m sorry for the poor experience you’ve had, and I hope we can turn this around for you.

    Thanks,

    Marquerita

I received a call from the complaints department yesterday. The representative did not have information from my previous complaint. As that complaint (only way to contact idMobile via phone) was moved to customer services. So the person said that as they could not see complaints in the notes, nothing was ever done.

I gave the case number, dates and details on the email which the person did not have access to it.

After nearly an hour of them trying to cover up for idMobile and I’m trying to provide information and over talking on each other. I had to cut my losses and ask the conversation has to stop as it was never worth my time to deal with this issue.

So we did close the complaint as the issue with the lack of service is neither of our hands. We are too small (me a customer and the rep as a complaint staff)

I wanted to provide information for other prospective idMobile customers that the service is poor and customer service will be no where to found. and wasting time to provide information is not worth your time.

I was already going to move and ordered sim card from other provider. This effort was to just tell idMobile that there is no service or customer service.

Just before this message, I just activated my second SIM card and will ported off within the next couple of days.

I’m just annoyed I didn’t do this earlier and stuck with a bad service.
