Question

Poor Mobile coverage

I live in the BR8 post code and travel to the SE13 area everyday for work. I have recently joined the ID mobile network from O2. I have the sat nav on on my phone and also listen to the radio through my phone. The coverage I now get is so poor. The satnav stalls and is always playing catch up, the radio go’s on and off 6 -7 times due to again poor coverage. With O2 I never had an issue. I cycle a lot and use Garmin through my phone, again poor coverage/ Now I know O2 was expensive and ID is a 3rd of the price, is this why its cheaper ? you get poor service ?

I have even bought a newer phone and different case just to see if that was the problem. Is this just me ? or do i need to go back to O2 for an easy life.

Thank you

    Hi @ColinL52,

We're sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your coverage.

We appreciate how frustrating it can be when the service you're receiving doesn't match what you'd expect, particularly if the coverage checker is showing strong coverage in the areas where you're having problems.

As a first step, we'd recommend checking the coverage checker again to see if there are any reported issues or maintenance affecting the locations concerned: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/coverage

If the issue persists, please contact our Live Chat team so they can investigate further and check whether there are any network-related issues affecting your service: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

They'll be able to review your account and discuss any available options based on the outcome of their investigation.

    Regards,

    Hi Gemma B

thank you for your reply and help.
the link you sent me for WiFi checker doesn’t seem to work , never mind. I would have found it difficult to stop every time to logon I had an issue to the checker.
This is the only thing I can do is this, these are the areas I am having issue with.
Plumstead common , king highway , wickham street, Danson road / East Rochester way (A2), Bourne road (A2) Oakfield lane / Birchwood road / London road.
    these are all in the SE18, DA16 , DA6 , DA15 , DA1, DA2 , BR8.
these are roughly the areas I seem to have issues with.
    many thanks for your help

    Regards
