poor network in Burscough (L40)

For the past month then mobile signal quality has been poor (postcode area L40 0SG)

Calls distorted, people not being able to hear you etc

The main carrier is also affected 3 mobile which is what we us

As a result, you may experience varying data speeds depending on how many customers are connecting to our network via your closest mast.

 

We’re always working to improve our network and aim to provide the best experience possible.

Furthermore, I can see you live in/close to a patchy area for 4G, and where 3G and 5G would be non-existent. Therefore, we’d expect weaker signal here in general. See here:

Have you tried restarting your phone and resetting network settings?

The signal was fine the last few years 

The poor signal issue only started in August 2025 when a mast was taken down on Mart Lane 

Network connection is fine once out of the area

Can you try switching to 4G only to see if that helps? Do you have Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE enabled?
