Roaming add on not working in turkey

I have purchased a roaming add on bundle and it is not working, im in turkey using the turkey network. I have view other posts similar to this, resulting in me resetting my network settings, rebooting my phone to no avail. I have a message that comes up saying I have lost data roaming due to leaving my home country with data roaming turned off. If that is the case why has the app allowed me to purchase the add-on? Can I please have a refund as the service is purchased has not been provided. Thanks

I’m really sorry you’re both experiencing issues with your roaming add-on in Turkey. I completely understand how frustrating this is, especially after purchasing a bundle expecting it to work straight away.

The error message about data roaming being turned off before leaving the UK usually means the phone has not correctly registered the roaming session, even if the add-on is active.
 

Please try these steps (important order):

• Turn Airplane Mode ON for 1 minute, then OFF
• Go to Settings → Mobile Data → Data Roaming → turn ON
• Restart your phone after enabling roaming
• Go to Network Selection → turn OFF Automatic
• Manually select a Turkish network (Turkcell / Vodafone TR / Turk Telekom)
• Ensure mobile data is enabled and no data limits are active
 

Additional check:

• Confirm the roaming add-on is active in the iD Mobile app
• Check if you can make a manual network connection (not just automatic)
• Try removing and reinserting SIM (if physical SIM)

I ended up getting my bundle refunded. Apparently if you leave your home network with data roaming turned off it won't work. I tried everything they told me to, several times to no avail.
