screeching sound when on calls

Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m sorry you’ve been experiencing this issue with your calls, that kind of sound shouldn’t be happening consistently.

Here are some steps you can try to help resolve it:

Basic checks

• Restart your phone
• Turn Airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then switch it off
• Check you have a strong signal (try moving to a different location if possible)
• Remove and reinsert the SIM card

Network reset

This can often fix call quality issues like distortion or noise:

• iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
• Android: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

Try manual network selection

• Go into your mobile network settings
• Turn off automatic network selection
• Manually select the iD Mobile network (or try toggling between available networks if shown)

Check for device issues

• Try your SIM in another phone (if possible)
• Or try a different SIM in your phone
• This helps confirm whether the issue is with the SIM or the handset
