Question

sim network not working

Hi,

I’m having an issue with my iPhone 16 Pro. My SIM card suddenly stopped working and shows “SIM not available” or “Network not available.”

I’ve tried restarting the phone, reinserting the SIM, resetting network settings, and testing the SIM in another phone, where it works fine.

This suggests the issue is with my iPhone connecting to the iD Mobile network.

Could you please check for any problems with my account, SIM provisioning, or network settings? Also, let me know if I need a replacement SIM or further troubleshooting.

Thank you.

Hi @Madalina Caleniuc,

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your service.

As your SIM works in another handset, this does suggest the issue is likely to be with the iPhone rather than the SIM or your account.

We'd recommend trying the following:

  • Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS (Settings > General > Software Update).
  • Go to Settings > Mobile Service and check that your iD Mobile SIM is enabled.
  • Toggle Automatic Network Selection off and back on.
  • Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
  • Perform a Network Settings Reset by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Your iPhone will restart afterwards.
  • If available, try using another working SIM in your iPhone to see if the issue affects all SIMs.
  • If you use a physical SIM, inspect the SIM tray for any signs of damage or debris.

If you've tried all of the above and the issue continues, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Service team via Live Chat so they can check your account and SIM provisioning. If everything looks correct, it may be worth contacting Apple, as the issue could be related to the handset itself.
