I’m unable to make or receive calls or send texts since arriving in Malta.

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear you're having trouble with calls, texts and connection while in Malta.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Restart your device to refresh its connection to the network.
Toggle Airplane Mode; turn it on for around 30 seconds, then switch it off again.
Check your mobile data is switched on, if you're experiencing data issues.
Remove your SIM card, gently wipe it with a clean, dry cloth, reinsert it, and restart your device.
Check your device software is fully up to date.
Reset your network settings to refresh your device's connection to the network.
Manually select the network; go to your network settings and choose to select a network manually rather than automatically, then choose GO Mobile.

Unfortunately having tried all of the above and downloaded a new eSIM my phone still refused to make or receive calls and send or receive text messages. After a live chat with an id technician it is now working normally so it appears that the problem was something on my account and nothing to do with my phone. Thank goodness for live chat👍
