Is anyone else suddenly suffering from really slow internet and poor signal coverage?  I’m in Canterbury and for the last 4 or 5 days, it’s suddenly very slow, frequently won’t load pages or stops mid way through videos, wifi-calling won’t connect….it has been fine for months but the coverage checker on both ID mobile and 3 mobile says it’s fine.

    Hi @doozer77 ,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear you’re having slow internet and poor signal recently. Even if coverage shows as good on the checker, there can be temporary issues or phone settings causing this. Please try the following steps:

Restart your phone to refresh network connection.

Toggle Airplane mode on and off to reconnect to the network.

Check for software updates on your device.

Reset network settings if the problem persists (note this will remove saved Wi-Fi networks).

Test your SIM in another phone if possible to see if the issue continues.

Let us know if this helped.

Thank you.  I had tried all those steps and nothing worked but have just spoken to a customer service agent who has confirmed there is a network congestion issue and hopefully should be resolved by 23.57pm tonight.

Hi @doozer77 thanks for the update. We completely understand how frustrating slow internet can be. As the network congestion issue is being resolved tonight, your service should return to normal soon.

In the meantime, you could try:

Connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, or using mobile data in another location.

Switching your phone to 4G only in the settings, this can sometimes give a more stable connection while congestion clears.
