    Hi @Bollen77,

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear about the poor signal you’ve been experiencing with iD Mobile. I understand how frustrating it must be to struggle to make calls or use your phone reliably, particularly when you’re experiencing these issues wherever you go.

I appreciate that you’ve confirmed you’re using a Samsung Galaxy S25 and believe the issue is network-related. We’d like to help you investigate this further.

    Troubleshooting steps to try

Please try the following steps to refresh your connection and check whether they improve your signal:

    1. Restart your phone

    • Switch your Samsung Galaxy S25 off completely.
    • Wait around 30 seconds, then switch it back on.
    • Check whether your signal improves.

    2. Refresh your network connection

    • Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
    • Switch Airplane Mode on for around 30 seconds.
    • Switch it off and allow your phone a minute or two to reconnect.

    3. Check your network mode

    • Open Settings.
    • Select Connections, then Mobile networks.
    • Tap Network mode.
    • Choose an automatic option that includes 4G/LTE and 5G, if available.
    • If the signal remains poor, try using 4G/LTE only temporarily to see whether the connection improves.

    4. Check automatic network selection

    • Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators.
    • Make sure Select automatically is enabled.
    • Restart your phone and test your connection again.

    5. Reset your network settings

If the problem continues, go to:

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings (the wording may vary by software version).

Confirm the reset and restart your phone. This may reset some network preferences, so check your settings afterwards.

    6. Check coverage and network status

Visit the iD Mobile Coverage and Network Status Checker to check for reported issues or maintenance affecting your area. Signal strength can vary depending on your location, nearby buildings and network conditions.

    How to leave your contract

If you decide that you no longer wish to remain with iD Mobile, you can check your cancellation options and any applicable early termination charges through the iD Mobile app or your online account.

    • Log in and select Plan.
    • Choose Leave iD.
    • Select Leaving cost to check any applicable charges.
    • If you want to cancel without transferring your number, select Cancel my iD Plan and follow the instructions.

If you’re still within your minimum contract term, an early termination fee may apply. You can review the details on the iD Mobile Leaving iD page.

If you believe the persistent network problems justify leaving without an early termination fee, please contact our Live Chat team so they can investigate your service issues and discuss the options available. We cannot guarantee that the fee will be waived, as this depends on the circumstances and the outcome of the investigation.

You can reach Live Chat here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. If the troubleshooting steps don’t improve your signal, please contact Live Chat so the team can investigate the network issues further and help you understand your options.
