The Network Coverage Samsung A56

Hi,

Commuting in my car daily, my navigator loses network connection. Does ID have coverage issues in some area in London & the UK? Car navigation is impossible without maps, many times the signal is lost and when I’m stuck in heavy traffic. I then get lost too. I have restarted my phone and the mobile network but this only intermittently solves the problem.

Can this be resolved?

Thank you

Hi @Mayid.

Thanks for your post. I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing, especially while driving. I understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must be.

iD Mobile runs on the Three network, so coverage and performance can vary depending on the areas you’re travelling through. While coverage is generally good across much of the UK, signal strength can fluctuate in busy cities like London, or in areas with dense buildings, tunnels, or heavy traffic, which may cause intermittent connection drops.

From what you’ve described, it does sound like you may be passing through areas with weaker or unstable signal, which could be affecting your navigation.

Please use the following link to check the coverage in your area:https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

You can also try reinserting your SIM, or testing your SIM in another phone. This will help determine whether the issue is related to the handset or the SIM itself.

As an additional tip, downloading offline maps (for example via Google Maps) can be really useful as a backup when signal drops.

If the issue continues, please feel free to reach out via live chat; https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat or DM so we can investigate this further for you.
