Question

Unable to hear in 0800 numbers

I have a Samsung s25 FE physicsl sim.  When I am on the phone to any number thats not a UK mobile, for example an 0800 number or 0300 etc there is a complete break in connection where the other person cannot hear what I am saying

    Hi @Jomenzi,

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue.

As it only seems to happen when calling non-mobile numbers (such as 0800 or 0300 numbers), we'd recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart your Samsung S25 FE.
    2. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
    3. Check that VoLTE/4G Calling is enabled:
      • Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > VoLTE Calls.
    4. Reset your network settings:
      • Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    5. Try making the same call with Wi-Fi Calling enabled and then disabled to see if there's any difference.
    6. Test a few different 0800 and 0300 numbers to confirm whether the issue affects all service numbers or only certain ones.
    7. If possible, try your SIM in another handset to see whether the issue follows the SIM or stays with the phone.

Can you also let us know:

    • Does the other person stop hearing you completely, or is it intermittent?
    • Does the call remain connected when the audio cuts out?
    • Are calls to UK mobile and landline numbers working normally?

If you've already tried the above and the issue persists, we'd recommend contacting our Live Chat team so they can investigate further and raise a ticket if required: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat
