Unable to send texts, make calls

Hi,

My father switched over to ID from O2 and used a PAC code to transfer old number over.

However, since the switch he is unable to receive/send text messages or make calls now (but mobile data is working).

Furthermore, we are unable to access customer support etc via the app as he cannot login - it requires a one time password sent by text to his number (which he is not receiving). At a slight loss what to do - have tried fiddling with the SIM settings on iPhone - it shows the phone number attached to the ID plan as a different number - not his original phone no. that should’ve been transferred over.

Any suggestions or alternative ways to contact ID appreciated.

Thanks

@d77miller  Sorry to hear about your father issues on our network. Where you/he given a date for the porting? Sometime the porting is partly done for all different reasons this may the case on your part  even complected the following day.

I'll send you some links to refer to so bear with me.

Here you go.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. The date for the porting completion was actually a fair while back, possibly mid September (the delay in realising the issue is due to him not requiring the plan prior to now). So I assume it definitely all should’ve completed by now (I checked and the old o2 SIM is definitely showing no service/inactive now too).

Wow three months since now and you've done everything possible, I'll try and escalate this on your behalf. I'm not a staff member but a community volunteer.

Staff members can be identified by clicking onto their profile and it will state IDMobile Employee

Update

@d77miller  I've messaged IDMobile hopefully someone will contact you soon, I'm afraid I can't give an estimate timescale for staff to contact you.

Your help is much appreciated, thank you! Just going back through old communications with ID with him just to double check. I’m sure will be able to resolve!

What phone does your father have @d77miller, iPhone?

If you’re using an iPhone, navigate to Settings > Mobile Service > My number and enter the number you transferred. However, instead of starting with 07 it should begin with +447. Save the change and restart your phone. Now try making and receiving a call.

If the above doesn’t resolve your issues then try performing a network reset. Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
