Is it cheaper to get an unlimited data plan and use this for the Internet at home? Could you stream Netflix or similar with 5g on your tv?

    Hi @Vflis,

Yes, this is possible. If you have an unlimited data plan, you can use your phone's mobile hotspot to share its 4G/5G connection with other devices, including a smart TV or streaming device.

This could allow you to use services such as Netflix over your mobile connection, although the experience will depend on the 4G/5G coverage and speeds available at your home.

If you're considering putting the iD Mobile SIM directly into a 4G/5G router or modem, please bear in mind that our SIMs are primarily designed for use in mobile phones. While they may work in some routers, we can't guarantee compatibility or provide full troubleshooting support for third-party router devices.

Whether it works out cheaper than home broadband will depend on the plans and prices available to you, so it's worth comparing the overall costs before making the switch.

    Regards,
