Very poor transmission on Sim. I can hear perfectly every time. They can barely hear me. Fine over Wi-Fi calling.

Hello. Standing at the kitchen window with the phone flat and one arm in the air, is not sustainable, and still barely a signal on the cheese wedge. With “you’re breaking up” the bulk of the conversation.

Google Pixel 7A has let me setup wi-fi calling, which when it happens is great. But I don’t know what connection I will get.

Do I need a new SIM or a phone with more menu options?

It makes the land line feel a luxury when I'm at home, though “evenings and weekends” can cost.

Please.

Hi Tom

Thanks for the info.

Can I improve the signal somehow, or do I need a different provider?

Hi @Paul58

I’m sorry to hear this, please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you have this issue?

Wi-Fi calling will be automatically switched to by your device/SIM once it decides the regular signal is weak enough.

Hi @Paul58

Okay, taking a look the area is rather patchy, you may experience a weaker signal in/around EN6 4QJ.

Hi @Paul58

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a guaranteed method of improving the service in an area where potential issues are identified.

You can try manual network search to ensure your handset is connecting to the possible signal in the location at the time.
