For the last week or so we have had virtually no signal strength, making internet access virtually impossible

Please can anyone explain why? Our postcode is AB39 3NW

Many thanks

My husband and I are the same we are based in Arbroath DD11. Day 3 of no signal, we are also having health issues and require to make calls to GP/dentists etc and it’s a struggle. Get through on a call then they cant hear you talking as the signal is terrible. Our signal at top of the mobile just has a exclamation type mark on it

Hi @Plover

Thank you for getting in touch with us, and I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing no signal. Upon checking your area, I can confirm there is network congestion. This is expected to be resolved by 16/04/2026 at 23:59.

Please restart your phone after this time or try updating your network settings, and your service should return to normal.

You can also check the coverage in your area using the following link:
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

Additionally, you may want to try the following steps:

For iPhone (iOS) – Reset Network Settings:
Go to Settings → General.
Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Confirm the reset when prompted.
Once complete, return to the home screen and restart your iPhone.

For Samsung – Reset Network Settings:
From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps → Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators.
Turn Select Automatically on or off.
Alternatively:
Go to Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Confirm by tapping Reset Settings.

Thank you,
