Question

Weaker than Three

I have used Three for about 6 years and so I am familiar with how the strength of signal varies as I walk the dog (sometimes I would listen to Spotify inthe walk) and generally how the signal varies when I use satnav. I would have expected ID to be the same as it uses the same network. However the signal is much weaker making as an example Spotify unusable in areas where it was fine before and satnav dropping out. I always use satnav so I know where it was fine before. Also the WhatsApp messages are delayed by an hour or two. Same phone and same network so why poor performance? This is not a “one off”, it has been like this since I changed over in May.

Does ID sit in the end of the queue for service with Three?

    Hi @Gbw,

We're sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your coverage.

We appreciate how frustrating it can be when the service you're receiving doesn't match what you'd expect, particularly if the coverage checker is showing strong coverage in the areas where you're having problems.

As a first step, we'd recommend checking the coverage checker again to see if there are any reported issues or maintenance affecting the locations concerned: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/coverage

If the issue persists, please contact our Live Chat team so they can investigate further and check whether there are any network-related issues affecting your service: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

They'll be able to review your account and discuss any available options based on the outcome of their investigation.

    Regards,

The situation has not changed since I signed up with ID.  My wife also had ID. We are both in a WhatsApp group with our daughter. If wife sends a message my copy arrives an hour later  vice versa.  I don’t think it is as simple as local transmitter failures.

    Hi @Gbw,

I’m sorry to hear that you and your wife are still experiencing these delays, especially as the issue has been ongoing since you joined iD Mobile.

Have you checked the coverage and network status in your area using our coverage checker?

If this isn’t showing any current faults or maintenance, we’d recommend contacting our Live Chat team so they can investigate the service further and raise a technical ticket where required.
