The Three network is broken. Seems the merger has been used to switch off towers, saving money! What a shock.

My Village has weak and unusable coverage by a single far off Vodaphone tower and used to have a different tower for 3/ID that gave good coverage. Seems the three tower is now offline (for several months now)

Checking on the local status I get

“We're working on the network in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing.” 

With no “fix” date in site. 

Looking at all the other threads on this same topic, seems a classic cost saving exercise of turning off towers. 

Guess I’ll have to move again when the contract is up in February.

This was always going to happen. VodaThree were never going to keep any overlap in coverage. They will ditch any overlapping masts that cost them the most to run annually.

    This was always going to happen. VodaThree were never going to keep any overlap in coverage. They will ditch any overlapping masts that cost them the most to run annually.

    The problem I have is the vodaphone tower is junk. Its signal in the village is 1 bar outside and nothing inside. The vodaphone coverage map is just lies. 

    I went with ID after checking signal strength and speed using PAYG sims for all networks. Now I am stuck in a contract with a network that no longer provides coverage for my home.
