This can sometimes be caused by a poor or unstable network connection, the handset switching between 4G and 5G during the call, a microphone or handset setting issue, or a temporary network/SIM issue.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

• Restart your handset and allow a few minutes for it to reconnect to the network.
• Turn Airplane Mode on for around 30 seconds, then switch it off to refresh the network connection.
• Set your handset to 4G only, as this can provide a more stable calling connection in some areas.
• Check that your handset's microphone isn't blocked or covered, and remove any case or screen protector that may be interfering with it.
• Check your handset's microphone permissions and make sure the Phone app has permission to use the microphone.
• If you're using a physical SIM, switch the handset off, remove and reinsert the SIM, then restart the device.
• If Wi-Fi Calling is enabled, temporarily switch it off and test another call. You can switch it back on afterwards if there is no improvement.
• Try making a call from another location to see whether the issue is specific to one area.
• If possible, test the SIM in another compatible, unlocked handset. This can help determine whether the issue is related to the SIM/network or your handset.
