I have no signal. Hardly ever anywhere. Your app says it’s great. It’s awful. I have you feedback via email but heard nothing back. Worst network ever. This is so bad. It says I have signal until I try to do something. Why? Even in the centre of cities. It’s awful.

Hi @Andyteague82

Thank you for getting in touch with us, please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused to you in relation to the network issues.

Please use the following link to check the coverage in your area: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage or try to reinsert your SIM or try your SIM in another phone. This will determine whether the issue is with the handset or with the SIM card itself.

Thanks,
Hosai

It’s a digital sim and the checker is how I know I should have excellent signal. Also doesn’t explain why sometime it’s says signal then when I try to make a call or use data the signal disappears.

Hi @Andyteague82,

Thanks for the additional information.

If you're using an eSIM and the signal is appearing and then disappearing when you try to make a call or use data, that does suggest something more than just a coverage issue.

Could you try the following:

  • Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then back off.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Ensure Network Selection is set to Automatic.
  • Check that your phone software is fully up to date.
  • Reset your network settings.

iPhone

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Tap Reset.
  3. Select Reset Network Settings.

Android

  1. Go to Settings > General Management (or System).
  2. Tap Reset.
  3. Select Reset Mobile Network Settings or Reset Network Settings.

If your handset supports it, you could also try changing the preferred network mode from 5G to 4G temporarily and then retest calls and data.

As the signal is dropping specifically when the phone tries to use the network, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Service Team via Live Chat if the issue continues, as they'll be able to check whether there are any account or eSIM provisioning issues that could be contributing to the problem.
