4G coverage gone in S60 1FS leaving only occasional emergence calls! This has been going on for weeks intermittently but is now permanent where I live. I am paying for no service at all.

Does the phone with your iD SIM also not have service when you leave the S60 1FS area, @calIDmobile?

At home the Coverage indicator occasionally shows 5g or 4g for 20 or so seconds then reverts to Emergency Only. Elsewhere coverage drifts along briefly; calls go through the motions on screen but nothing happens in reality. Then the Coverage goes back to Emergency Only.

Calls are also not possible via Wifi. I have switched in Airplane mode, reset the SIM and turned off the phone a number of times. To all intents and purposes Mobile Coverage is being removed from my SIM or is only briefly available as it drifts past, at home or elsewhere. SMS texts never arrive at all anymore.

IDmobile online help sorted this - eventually! The SIM parameters have changed, presumably due to the merger with Vodafone and all that stuff. So for me I had to go to Settings, then System, then Reset options, then Reset mobile network settings + Reset Bluetooth and Wi-fi (one after the other). Do not reset anything else! In fact it’s debatable whether the Bluetooth reset is necessary. However the above procedure worked a treat.🤔

Hi @calIDmobile ,

Thank you for letting us know, and we’re glad to hear your issue has been resolved.
As you mentioned, the recent SIM parameter changes may have been related to network updates. For anyone experiencing similar issues, the steps you followed are helpful:

Go to Settings > System > Reset options
Select Reset mobile network settings
Optionally, reset Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (though this may not always be necessary)
Avoid resetting anything else to prevent data loss
