Withhold valley ID

I need to use my phone for professional and personal reasons and therefore I sometimes need to withhold my personal phone number when I'm calling on a professional basis.

I'm sure the used to be a short code that you could use before dialing a number to allow you to withhold your caller ID but I can't find any documentation about this on the ID website.

I thought it was #31 but that didn't connect today.

Can someone tell me what the code is?

Thanks!

You’re thinking of 141 but it doesn’t work with iD Mobile. To hide it, you need to disable CLI from the phone settings. Additionally, iD Mobile plans are for personal use only and using them for anything else breaches their terms and conditions.

No there definitely used to be a # short code you used before the number - advised before as 141 doesn't work on ID as you say.

Hi @Cakeisbetterthangranola

You are able to try the below steps to set your calls to private.

iPhone:

Settings → Phone → Show My Caller ID → OFF

Android:

Phone app → ⋮ → Settings → Calls → Additional settings → Caller ID → Hide number

As mentioned by @WelshPaul, when making the call, you can dial 141 + phone number, for example 141 07123456789.

Thanks everyone

I've realised it's #31# (I'd forgotten the second #).

Welshpaul gave me inspiration with the *

@Gemma M as WelshPaul said above 141 doesn't work on the three network.

It’s *31# to hide your number and #31# to show your number.
