4 months in and account suddenly disconnected with zero notice.
Started a new contract in June, DD active and always paid, most recent bill came out two days ago.
Today a text came in saying the following:
We've received your request to leave iD. Your disconnection is due on 19-10-2026. Once disconnected, your number will be lost - please contact us before this date if you change your mind or want to keep your number - https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat. We can then cancel your request or give you a PAC. If you are due a refund upon disconnection and have an active Direct Debit with us, we'll refund you within 30 days from the date of your last bill.
This was at 16:47, my mobile data no longer works. According to ID mobile chat service which wasn't overly helpful says the following
After checking the system, I can see that the plan was disconnected today. The notes indicate that a previous disconnection attempt failed because the phone was returned. However, the plan was not reverted back to the previous plan
Now, I still have the handset, never wanted to return it and also have no previous plans as I swapped to ID mobile from O2 at the start of this contract.
Anyone experienced anything similar? Obviously I want my contract reinstated but apparently it's a minimum of waiting 48 hours to raise to their technical team.
This needs to be escalated and reversed immediately, but there appears to be noone that can help me. I just don't see how they can cancel and say that message without ever talking to me, to me it seems fraudulent and more wanting the mobile number to access accounts.
