Account Fraud

Today I received an sms from ID stating that my new sim card should be registered following the instructions. I had requested no such thing. Called ID to be confirmed I had been a victim of sim swap fraud and they blocked my sim. Had to go to currys to get a new sim which I did. This evening I got a further sms to say my order had now been processed and upon checking my account plan has now gone from 7 quid to 41 quid a month and my address changed. How can the fraud team not pick up on all this and stop it in its tracks.

I now have to wait till the morning to call ID fraud again to try and undo all the mess.
