I just bought a new phone and a new contract with idmobile, all was ok but when my old mobile number wasn’t set up on my new phone I tried to get in touch with idmobile….as there isn’t a customer service number on the website I asked Google…..it gave me a number and when I called the number they said they would help me…..cut a very distressing experience short it turned out to be a scam site and I managed to lose my phone to them as they ordered a car to collect the phone……beware and don’t use Google for a customer number for I’d mobile…..I think it’s only an online bot/chat to communicate with them via website……that was a costly mistake and I have to wait for idmobile fraud team to get back to me which could take 4 or 5 weeks. Frustrating……….

    Hi @Cloud root,

We're extremely sorry to hear about this distressing experience, and we sincerely apologise for the worry, frustration and financial loss you've experienced. We completely understand how upsetting this must have been, particularly when you were trying to get help with your new contract and number transfer.

We'd like to clarify that our general Customer Service team is chat-based, and we do not have a general customer service telephone number or a WhatsApp number for customers to contact us. We strongly recommend using only our official iD Mobile website, Live Chat and verified social media channels when looking for support.

Unfortunately, if you have contacted a third-party number found through a search engine, we wouldn't be able to confirm that this was an official iD Mobile contact. We're very sorry that this has happened to you.

We understand that your case has been referred to our Fraud Team. Please be assured that the information you've provided will be reviewed as part of their investigation, and the team will contact you with the outcome and any next steps.

We apologise again for the distress this situation has caused and appreciate your patience while the investigation is ongoing.
