Question

How can I stop these constant spam calls?

Hi, is there any way to stop or block spam calls? I’m receiving around 3–4 spam calls every single day, and it’s honestly getting really frustrating.

The problem is that every call comes from a different number, so even when I block them, they just call again using a new number. Blocking individual numbers doesn’t seem to make any difference.

It’s been happening every day, and I’m getting really fed up with the constant interruptions.

Is there anything iD Mobile can do to help stop these calls? I’d really appreciate a solution that doesn’t involve changing my phone number.

    Hi @Pimitchell,

Thank you for getting in touch. I’m sorry to hear that you’re receiving 3–4 spam calls every day. I completely understand how frustrating it must be to deal with constant interruptions, especially when the callers keep using different numbers and blocking them individually doesn’t seem to help.

While we’re unable to block spam calls directly at account level, there are several options you can try to help reduce them without changing your mobile number.

    1. Enable spam call protection on your phone

    • iPhone: Go to Settings > Apps > Phone and look for options to screen or silence unknown callers. Depending on your iOS version, you may be able to silence calls from numbers that aren’t saved in your contacts.
    • Android: Open the Phone app, select Settings and look for Caller ID and spam protection or Spam and Call Screen. Enable the available spam-filtering options.

Please note that silencing unknown callers may also affect legitimate calls from numbers you haven’t saved.

    2. Consider using a spam-filtering app

Apps such as Truecaller can help identify suspected spam calls and automatically filter or block numbers reported by other users. You can review the app’s permissions and privacy settings before installing it.

    3. Register with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS)

If you’re receiving unwanted marketing calls in the UK, you can register your number with the Telephone Preference Service. This can help reduce unsolicited sales and marketing calls, although it won’t stop all scam calls.

    4. Continue reporting and blocking suspicious numbers

Although scammers may use different numbers, reporting suspicious calls and blocking repeat callers can still help. Avoid sharing personal or financial information with unexpected callers, even if they claim to represent a legitimate company.

We’re sorry that these calls are causing you so much frustration. While we cannot guarantee that all spam calls can be stopped, the options above may help reduce the number reaching you without needing to change your number.
