Question

ID have scammed me and my wife. They sent Fake IPHONE 17 PRO MAX twice!

Me and my wife recently brough 2 contracts from ID. one for an Iphone 16 and one for an Iphone 17. Today we received both phones. I found it odd that both orders where wrong even though they where separate. The phone looked fake straight out of the box. It seemed off. When I turned them both on and searched the files I discovered that the Iphones where androids and not real! They have fake software installed etc. Fake functions the lot!  Do not trust ID at all! In 2 minds on weather the police can do anything about it!

    Morning @lui-smith,

I’m sorry to hear this has happened. Rest assured this wouldn’t have been deliberate, instead, it likely happened when the phones entered DPD’s delivery network.

I’ve escalated with our Customer Complaints Manager and will get back to you shortly.

    Thanks.

This exact thing happened to us, did you get an outcome, or is it still ongoing?

    Thanks

Mine was an upgrade, yeh they just seem to keep longing it out, how long was it for yours to get sorted? Do you have the phone you were supposed to have? They have said they can’t send me another until the investigation is complete

Mine was about 3 weeks in the end.

I goggled head office sent a formal complaint letter and another letter to currys plc. as they seem to own all these companies. In the end i found the operations managers email and the operation managers team sorted it.

Was a lot of arguments and stress, and I did report it to Report fraud, Trading Standards and the bbc, eventhough they didn't really help, but I thought just incase they wouldn't sort it for me.

They will probably try to blame the courier, but I did point out to them that my contract is not with the courier, it is with id mobile.

Are you able to point me in the direction of the operational managers email? Where can I find that? And the manager for curry’s or id mobile? Thanks for you help

The postal address for id mobile is: id Mobile, P.O. Box 252, Cramlington, NE23 2EA and the postal address for Curry's plc is: Currys Newark Campus, Long Hollow Way, Newark, NG24 2NH.

I can not find any info for a direct email address but the head of operations is Ian Johnston and the general manager is Rohit Vedi.

I would ask for your complaint to be forwarded to either of these two.

If you do not get any help or anywhere with them in 8 weeks from your order date, you can contact the Communications Ombudsman and they should be able to help.
