Identify Theft

I’ve had my personal details stolen during this transaction and it’s been a nightmare. All my accounts now frozen, cards maxed out and new credit cards taken out in my name. Someone ghosted my number and requested an eSIM on the app which I hadn’t even downloaded. I have tried to end the sim contract but have received no details of this. I’m only on day 8 so well within the 14 day cooling period. I did receive a text saying if I use my number with another provider after requesting a PAC I would be charged £95. I had no other choice to remove the sim from my phone due to all the illegal activity still going on. ID mobile have done nothing to help the situation

@MartinGAnderson What you need to do is report matters to the police and get a crime number, secondly contact your banks and give the the crime number..

Also there a link which I shall post back shortly for you to read through and act accordingly.

As promised here the link.

Hi @MartinGAnderson

I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve experienced fraud when taking out your contract.
To help us investigate, please report the incident to Action Fraud, the UK’s national fraud reporting centre. You can do this by visiting https://www.actionfraud.police.uk or calling 0300 123 2040. Once you’ve reported it, make sure to note down the Crime Reference Number they provide.
After you have your Crime Reference Number, please contact us via Live Chat. Our team is available:

Monday to Friday: 9am – 8pm
Weekends & Bank Holidays: 9am – 6pm

When you reach out, let the agent know what happened and have your Crime Reference Number ready, along with your contact details (full name, email address, and postcode)
