    Hi @Seanmylne,

I’m Matt, the iD Community Manager. 👋

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please can you share any screenshots of contact from Irene or Jason, hiding your own personal details?

    Thanks.

I also note that both Irene Morgan and Jason have already been mention previously on this very community. My question has to be why are they still active on this chat as that is how “Irene” contacted me!

    Hi @Seanmylne

We have blocked and removed some of their details from our system. In some cases, there are multiple accounts involved, and we are currently working on removing the remaining information from the database and permanently blocking the accounts.

That is good to see, better late than never, but have to say I am disappointed that they were not blocked when their names where mentioned in this chat way back when.

I am also disappointed that the fraud team have not acknowledged my case and it it I who has to chase for answers.

    Hi @Seanmylne

I understand your frustration, and we will certainly look at improving how we pick up matters earlier to prevent this happening again, particularly regarding the Fraud Team and the lack of feedback.

Could you please let me know when you first contacted them? As far as I’m aware, they usually have a 21–30 day investigation period to resolve cases for our fraud customers.

    Hi Michael,

07/05/2036, so I know I am within the 30 days quoted. Just very disappointed in ID Mobile as a whole.

    Hi,

The ‘Irene Morgan’ account used my credit card (obtained by a deception similar the the one cited above) to fund their use of a Google One account - no doubt facilitating further frauds.

When I reported it to my bank they initially (wrongly) raised it as a disputed payment and the material I got back from them identified the gmail address and IP address used - see screenshot attached.

BTW, the fraudsters have some means of erasing forum messages; when I went back to my original conversation my interaction with ‘her’ was gone completely from the thread, leaving only my initial complaint.

I believe the account may now have been removed/blocked, but beware: they will no doubt appear with a new identity.

    regards
    Steve
