Question

is there a number to call customer services on?

I can't find a number for customer services anywhere, is there not one? If not ID should really make this very clear. I called a number I found on Google yesterday after finding none here and getting nowhere with bots and sitting waiting to " live chat" a human. Turned out to be fraudsters after my bank details, card details and address and email. I realised in time and my bank have been great.

If a mobile phone provider is going to operate without a number to call customer services on they need to advertise the fact in bold typeface everywhere. Otherwise people are going to get scammed. ID are all but pushing people into the arms of scammers by working as they do. Why on earth would a phone company not not have a customer service phone number?

    Hi @MEID,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, and I'm glad you realised something wasn't right before sharing too much information.

You're correct that iD Mobile does not have a general customer service phone number. The main ways to contact us are via:

We do have a dedicated contact number for vulnerable customers, which can be found on our Accessibility page: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/legal/accessibility

It's also important to know that:

    • iD Mobile will never ask for your full bank details, passwords, PINs or one-time security codes.
    • We wouldn't normally call customers out of the blue unless a callback has been requested or there's an ongoing case that requires contact.

As you've already spoken with your bank, you've taken an important first step. We'd also recommend:

    • Monitoring your bank accounts for any unusual activity.
    • Changing any passwords that may have been discussed or shared during the call.
    • Enabling two-factor authentication on important accounts where possible.

We're sorry for the concern and inconvenience this has caused, and we appreciate you sharing your experience with the Community as it may help other members avoid similar scams in the future.

    Regards,
