I have just received a message from someone who claims they have been contacted by my number and had a voicemail left behind who wasn't me.

    Hi @Ollie.Chandler_02,

I’m sorry to hear this has happened. From what you’ve described, it’s possible that your number has been spoofed, meaning someone has made a call while making it appear as though the call came from your number.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can directly prevent or change from our end, as the caller doesn’t actually need access to your SIM or iD Mobile account to spoof the number.

If your number starts being incorrectly flagged as spam as a result, you can report this to Hiya and request that they review your number:

    https://www.hiya.com/en-gb/support

If the problem continues and becomes persistent, the other option would be changing your mobile number, although we’d recommend this only as a last resort.

If you notice any other suspicious activity on your actual iD Mobile account, please let us know.

    Regards,
