ask a question - new customer, requested physical sim but now want e-sim

I am a new customer and requested a physical SIM today, but on reflection, I don't want to wait for days for it to arrive, so I would like to change my request to an eSIM. I've asked the AI and it says I can request an eSIM from my account. However, I can't access my account yet without the physical SIM. I can put my name and DOB in, and I even have my ID mobile phone number, as it is printed on the invoice. But when I try to set my account up and input my new number, it sends a verification code to that number, and I don't have the physical SIM yet. So because I can't verify my new number yet, it won't finish setting up my account. I'm trapped in a loop. Looking at Royal mail, it will probably be next week before the physical SIM arrives. Can anyone help me request an eSIM asap so I can get up and running straight away?
