    Hi @Kell2106,

We're sorry to hear that your application wasn't successful.

Unfortunately, we're not provided with any additional information about why a credit check has been declined, so we're unable to advise on the specific reason.

If you have any questions about the outcome of your credit check, you'll need to contact Equifax PLC, the credit reference agency we use. You can find their contact details here: www.equifax.co.uk/business/contact-us/en_gb

We'd also recommend waiting at least 30–90 days before submitting another application, as this gives your credit profile time to recover before another credit search is carried out.

We appreciate this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but we hope this points you in the right direction.

    Regards,

Me too, my equifax score is 889, the UK average is 585.  There is obviously an error in the way this company operates it’s credit checks but they’re almost impossible to challenge.  I did contact equifax and they claim they have zero adverse information on me.

    Hi @sumobb2.

Thank you for sharing this, and I understand how frustrating it must be to see a strong credit score like yours and still face a decline.

While we're not able to share the specific details of a credit decision, one thing that can sometimes affect the outcome, even with a good score, is whether the address details provided on the application exactly match what's held on your credit file. I'd recommend checking whether you provided the correct variation of your address (for example, the exact format, house name vs. house number, or a previous address that may not yet be updated) and that your information was fully up to date at the time of applying.

If you find there may have been a mismatch, please do get in touch with our sales team directly, as they'll be able to support you with submitting a new application using your correct, current details.

    Thanks,

    Marquerita
