hi my iPad cannot receive messages and I cannot activate my account because of it

I’m really sorry to hear that your iPad is unable to receive messages, which is needed to set up your account.

Please note that to create your account, you need a working SIM, as a one-time password (OTP) will be sent via text message for verification. In this case, you will need a replacement SIM to receive the OTP and complete the activation of your account.

The SIM can also be temporarily placed into another phone so you can receive the OTP and finish setting up your account.
